How much does VR surgical planning cost?

32 studies in the library address this question.

Short answer

Published figures are sparse, and the library holds no formal cost-effectiveness study. One randomized study estimated the cost of a VR model at $112.5 to $255 (Cumpanas 2025). Another reported that the software and headset at its centre cost 80,000 and 9,000 USD (Duarte 2026). In a national survey of urologists, 25% named high cost as a barrier to adoption (Kobayashi 2025).
