Welcome to Elucis Next

The Elucis you know and love has, to date, been a non-clinical use product. In January of 2023, Elucis received FDA 510(k) clearance making it available for clinical use in the United States.

As of version 1.7.1, Elucis of old is being split into two editions: Elucis and Elucis Next.

Elucis Next is our non-clinical use edition of Elucis which can be used for research, patient education, post-procedure discussion, and other non-clinical activities in all regulatory jurisdictions.

Elucis is a software medical device available in the United States for the following indications for use:

Elucis is intended for use as a software interface and image segmentation system for the transfer of imaging information to an output file.


It is also intended for measuring and treatment planning.


Elucis should be used in conjunction with expert clinical judgement.

What's the difference?

As Elucis requires further regulatory clearance following any substantial updates, it will be updated on a less frequent basis. Consequently, new features will be included in our clinical-use edition, Elucis, as they are cleared in their respective jurisdictions. Elucis Next will continue to receive new features and updates at regular intervals.

For example, 3D echo functionality is included in Elucis Next v1.10.5. However, you won't see that in Elucis prior to a new regulatory clearance milestone.

Can I use both?

Yes! Elucis and Elucis Next will be able to be simultaneously installed on your computer. Additionally, projects and databases can be used interchangeably between Elucis and Elucis Next and user settings will persist between editions. However, warnings will present themselves if Elucis users attempt to use a project which has been at one point saved with Elucis Next.

Which edition should I download?

A downloadable installer is currently only widely available for Elucis Next. If you are in the United States and wish to install Elucis, please contact us.

Please note, that Elucis Next will install in a new and separate location on your hard drive. We advise that you uninstall Elucis v1.6.1 (or previous versions) prior to proceeding with installing Elucis v1.7.5 or Elucis Next v1.10.5.
