How long does it take to segment a CT and build a VR model?

6 studies in the library address this question.

Short answer

It depends on the case and the software. A neurosurgical series reported a mean of 39.4 minutes for hologram segmentation (Colombo 2023), and a later series of aneurysm cases reported 26 minutes on average (Colombo 2026). In a pediatric heart series, AI made it quicker to build the models, but manual corrections were always needed (Lippert 2024).

How strong is the evidence?

Study designs: 1 randomized trial, 3 comparative or prospective studies, 1 retrospective study and 1 case report, case series or technical report.

Counts come from the studies' own design labels in the library.
