OTTAWA, Ontario, January 19, 2023 – Healthcare software start-up, Realize Medical, announced today that its virtual reality (VR) software for surgical planning, Elucis (ee-loo-sis), has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Animesh (Aashoo) Tandon, M.D., M.S., is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, with joint appointments in Radiology and Biomedical Engineering, at UT Southwestern in Dallas. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in 2003. During his medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School, he performed a research fellowship at the NINDS/NIH through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute/NIH Research Scholars (Cloister) Program.
